Reflections on Covid 19
First of all want to say a huge thank you to my friend Dimini Dissanayake in Australia, for the fabulous illustration at the top of this page, that she so thoughtfully and kindly drew for me. Thank you love and I will keep trying to do my bit to keep us all safe and flatten the curve.
I have literally spent the last two days trying to write something meaningful about the situation we are in, all around the world and whilst it has been quite an interesting exercise, I'm afraid that I have come up with nothing that expresses my feelings as exactly or as beautifully as this gorgeous passage from Kitty O'Meara so I decided to just share her wonderful words instead.
“And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply. Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows. And the people began to think differently.
And the people healed. And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed."

Free Evening Meditations
Join our community meditation every Thursday evening, for about 30 minutes. The purpose is to bring us together, create a sense of community, soothe our nervous systems and take a few moments out each week.
Sessions will be held on zoom and are open to anyone any where.
We meet at 7pm Sri Lanka time.
